India for Mother
An initiative for the vulnerable

The world has come to a standstill since the pandemic hit all. Life has now been reduced to forced or self-imposed isolation in the homes. While the pandemic affected most severely, for a few, the situation was even grimmer due to a lack of proper support and inclusion from society; the vulnerable.

Vulnerable communities like Transgenders and Widows often experience prejudice, stigma, hostility, and pressure to “manage” their identities in normal social settings. While in the pandemic, the situation got even worse with no jobs and financial or emotional support for which, KRBL decided to take a stand.

KRBL started off with an initiative #IndiaForMothers to support these vulnerable mothers of India, alongside Tisca Chopra, a well-established name of Bollywood, who gladly became the face and voice of the initiative. They together came forward to support Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna’s initiative #FeedIndia with the launch of #IndiaForMothers to benefit Mothers by ensuring maximum number receive rice supply.

Together, they aimed to benefit a minimum of 5000 such families across various parts of the country majorly Varanasi, Vrindavan, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore with which they have been successful. NGO’s Vibha and Global Funds for widows helped to implement this project on-ground and to reach out to maximum mothers in need.
